The Coalition for the Homeless Hosted a Fun and Inspiring Event to the Help the Homeless
The DMV was moving and grooving and working up a sweat. Community members put on their dancing shoes to show support for a fun and inspiring event, the Coalition for the Homeless’ 5th Annual Stepping out for the Homeless fundraiser on Friday, October 27, 2017. With shows like Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance in full swing, dancing is once again becoming America’s favorite pastimes. This is an upbeat fundraising event that is growing in popularity.
All proceeds benefited individuals and families in the Coalition’s transitional housing programs in the District of Columbia. Providing transitional housing often requires more than just four walls and a roof, to be successful. The programs needs secure and sustainable funding and support from the community to continue to help individuals and families to secure permanent housing.
The buzz is growing around this event. Your financial and moral support can make a difference in the lives of the people served by the Coalition daily. We are doing it again in 2018, at St. Francis Hall. on Friday, October 26, 2018. More information will be coming soon.
