Why make a donation to the Coalition for the Homeless?

The Coalition is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Your donation supports our mission to help transition homeless and at risk individuals and families to self-sufficiency through housing programs and supportive services. We provide a safe environment, transitional housing and supportive services for the men, women and children who are experiencing homelessness. Everyone needs a little help sometimes.

What does my money support?

Your money supports direct services to homeless individuals and families. 92 cents of every dollar received goes toward direct services, which include food, shelter, substance abuse counseling, employment and housing placement assistance.

How is my donation processed?

The Coalition uses a reliable third-party payment network to process on-line donations. All transactions conducted on this web site are encrypted using a secure server to protect your privacy. The Coalition for the Homeless does not rent or sell your information to other charities

For 40 years, the Coalition for the Homeless has provided tools and services to self-determined veterans, individuals and families that help them re-build more sustainable, self-sufficient lives. To continue these services, in honor of our 40th Anniversary, we are running a $48-for-40-years campaign with a goal to raise $250,000.

Please consider donating at least $48 – which covers one night of shelter for an individual in need – and spread the word about our campaign through social media, email or talking with you neighbors and friends.

Ninety-two cents of every dollar given goes toward direct services. Last year, we served 430 individuals and families with children, moved 233 people into permanent housing, and helped 60 individuals obtain employment.

Every individual donation regardless of amount truly makes an impact, and we believe crowdsourcing the love and generosity of the community is the most powerful thing we can ask for. Help us serve the community even more and donate today.
