Robert Scott
Robert is an entrepreneur, executive leader, and nonprofit board member with more than four decades of experience building, scaling, and successfully transitioning businesses. He brings deep expertise in governance, strategic growth, revenue development, and team leadership, along with a longstanding commitment to community impact throughout the greater Washington, D.C. region.
A native Washingtonian, Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia. He is currently a full-time residential real estate agent with The Scott Team under Samson Properties.
Robert began his entrepreneurial career while in college, founding Champion Landscape, which later expanded into Champion Landscape and Nursery. He owned and operated the company for more than 20 years before its successful sale. He later co-founded First Call Office Products, growing it into a $7.5 million business before its acquisition by HiTouch Business Services, where he continued as a Senior Sales Consultant.
He has served on numerous boards, including the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce (where he served as Board Chair), SEEC, The Arc of Howard County, and Crossroads Freedom Center. He has also been a longtime supporter of Coalition for the Homeless and is proud to serve on its Board of Directors.
Robert and his wife, Alecia, live in Rockville, Maryland. They have been married for 36 years and have three adult children and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, tennis, and spending time with family.
