Andrew J. Grimaldi

Andrew Grimaldi serves as Chairman of the Board and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the mission of preventing homelessness. His commitment is deeply personal. As a teenager, Andrew experienced housing instability firsthand when his family lost their home to foreclosure after his father lost a well-paying job. The resulting debt and damaged credit took more than a decade to overcome, shaping Andrew’s understanding of how quickly financial instability can cascade—and how long its effects can endure.

Andrew is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the Farm Credit System Insurance Corporation (FCSIC). In addition, he operates Grimaldi Legal, a pro bono law practice dedicated to providing legal representation to individuals and organizations with limited financial means. Over the past two years, his volunteer legal work has secured more than $350,000 in favorable settlements for clients who otherwise would not have been able to afford counsel.

Andrew also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he teaches macroeconomics and microeconomics. He brings extensive experience in board governance, financial reporting, and internal controls, with a strong emphasis on accountability, transparency, and organizational sustainability.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manhattan College, a Juris Doctor from the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, and a Master’s of Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed attorney in the State of Maryland.
