Laurel Djoukeng

Laurel Djoukeng is an investment professional, entrepreneur, and community leader with a career spanning finance, technology, real estate, and youth development. A Washington, D.C. native, Laurel earned his bachelor’s degree from Hampton University and an MBA from Duke University.

Laurel began his finance career in New York City, working with PGIM as an Investment Analyst and The Carlton Group as a Senior Associate in investment banking and capital markets. He is also an advisor to The Steinbridge Group, an impact investment and development platform, where he leads Institutional Partnerships and originates investment and development opportunities with universities, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations while supporting capital markets, transaction strategy, and investor and stakeholder alignment.

As an entrepreneur, Laurel founded Sparc, a venture-backed AI-powered talent marketplace connecting employers with college students and professional organizations. He is also the founder of the Catalyst Network Foundation, Incorporated, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to professional development and college preparation for young people.

Laurel is a Techstars NYC alum, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, New Leaders Council, Blue Ridge Labs, and Halcyon Fellow. He is passionate about creating opportunities that advance economic mobility and strengthen communities.
