Delese Harvey joined the Coalition for the Homeless board of directors in 2017. She is also a member of the Coalition’s Internal Culture Committee, which focuses on developing best practices in board management, ensuring the Coalition is a great place to work, and exploring ways to encourage innovation across the organization. Ms. Harvey is Deputy Director at the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Ms. Harvey has spent the last 18 years working in the nonprofit sector.
She worked to develop and implement programming to support the growth and development of children and families, at-risk populations including veterans, formerly incarcerated persons, individuals with a history of homelessness and substance abuse, and those seeking to secure economic security.
She has dedicated her time to Ward 8 and other vulnerable communities in Washington, DC. Ms. Harvey graduated from The University of Maryland University College with a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management.
